My Dear Past - Poem by cyclopseven Ram

Tell me my dear past
where have you been hiding yourself
that i couldn't trace your trail;
tell me my dear past
where have you locked yourself
so that i can unlock and rectify some errors;
tell me my dear past
where are you buried or cremated
so proper rites i can perform for your peace;
tell me my dear past
why you hate the present so much
that you remain far from it;
tell me my dear past
why you can't invade the future
and tell me a story in the past
so i can re-live a life missed
once again in the present;
please tell me my dear past
why in shadow you forever remain an illusive dove?

please tell me my dear past
the many things that i have placed in your trust
and forgotten.
