My Defeat - Poem by Khalid Hameed

Yes, it is raining outside in St. Pete
but it’s been raining in my life forever
that makes it feel almost like a complete defeat
Here we go again on the same path
where you can just ignore and hurt me
and send towards me your never ending wrath

They say, “You can move mountains with true love”?
I can’t even breath, without the pain you inflicted upon me
‘Cause your hate has more power over me
keeps me up all night through the early hours of dawn
experiences that I had with you
left me inside all broke and torn
so now my trust in you,
and the rest of the world has gone

So hate me more, ‘Cause it makes me feel like
I am a misery, plague, and a very incurable disease
cold, damp, lonely, and almost deceased
a body with a withering soul
and my heart with a big gaping hole
with no direction, affection, or reflection
my life is now a symbol of complete imperfection.....
