My Dog Poem by LAURA TAYLOR

My Dog

Rating: 5.0

My friend who walks beside me
And says no words at all
Who hops and jumps around my feet
And sometimes makes me fall

My friend who plays his silly games
And darts across the yard
Who brings me odd and funny things
And balls I throw so hard

My friend who barks and begs for food
No matter where we are
Who likes to chase the kitties
And go riding in the car

My friend who stands beside me now
Who thinks he isn’t small
He barks and growls so very big
You’d think he was so tall

My friend who always made me see
The love in everything
Who’s life will go forever
Because there is no real ending

My friend who keeps his hope up high
To mountains I can’t climb
If we could do it all again
I wouldn’t change our time

My friend who lives inside my soul
A love to never leave
He guides me down this winding path
His faith will never weave

My faithful loving friend of mine
I give you now this gift
To God’s big loving open arms
He gives you now a lift

So now I ask of you my friend
Just save a spot for me
I’ll meet you in our special spot
Beneath our favorite tree

“My faithful loving friend of mine I give you now this gift To God’s big loving open arms He gives you now a lift” Your friend already take his rest? I know you are lonely, but this poem is very nice… he is so proud of you I know. I also have a friend, his name is keeper, but he will not bid goodbye to me, he is just a toy… I like it much talking to him… he is my companion as always. :)
