My Dreams Poem by Lureen Kithen

Sworn to secrecy are my dreams
That haunt and creep arond
As if planning some unknown scheme
Yet I know what I have found
I have found my deepest wish
A wish I made alone one night
But it is not to swim as a fish
Nor to be the victor of some fight
My wish is to be loved by someone
The person that I can turn to
A person who will not run
but hold me close and true
I came close so many times
But could not enter the hearts
Of those people like gentle chimes
Still I could not make their charts
Yet I can still hope to find
One of these cold lonely nights
The one who will catch my heart
And will love me with all their might
