My Early Morning Rose - Poem by Jan Demaggio
As the sun rises early of the morning.
I wake up to find me holding you tight to my side.
You remind me of a sweet smelling rose.
You wear my favorite perfume.
Your soft touch is fine as a rose petal. I reach to kiss you good morning
Only to realize it's time to arise for work.
Time goes to fast, for my early morning rose. As days roll by, I feel my early morning rose will fade.
For there is no time to attend my early morning rose.
That lays at my heart.
