I watch the passing clouds above me,
And they tutor my soul that life on earth is passing....
I'm caressed by breezes and hit by storms ‘cross me,
And they teach me that life hath ups and downs.
I shall leave the stage of life; but the clouds go in diverse shapes.
I pass mountains and hills, but they stand still,
And they teach me life on earth is temporal,
Yea, I shall leave the stage of life as it's destined unto humans.
Waters on earth giggle at me for I am passing:
Ebbs and tides teach me life on earth is unsteady,
Truly, I shall exit the theatre and it's predestined.
Rays from cosmos look at me sarcastically,
And their sarcastic grinning tutors me of temporality on earth,
Beyond doubt I shall leave the planet for it is intended.
Flora and fauna wink their eyes at me,
And I learn that I am passing the way of life,
In fact, I shall leave the phase of my sojourn on earth.
I closely watch myself that tendon in me shrinking,
Light in my eyes begins diminishing,
Sounds are no more heard for I am become deaf,
My tongue fails to utter words of meaning;
But it simply blabbers to nothing,
My nose fails to breathe in and breathe out,
And it shows I am on the way of departure from this stage.
So, let me incline upon God in Christ Jesus
And enter the Eternity with Him ever.
