My Eyes Cried And Begged Poem by Fatima Nusairat

My Eyes Cried And Begged

Rating: 5.0

My eyes cried and begged
Just as gulls begged
When missed the last wave
Flew high and absent
Behind the frontier

My eyes cried and the years
fell apart in front of my eyes
while I am spinning and spinning and
the cold is killing me
If the dawn came late and
Rooster fell into sleep and my
Mom forgot the wood stoves and *'tanour'

Hey fatigue beds
Hey swarms Gulls
Oh the smell of hot bread
How 'tanour' receded and my Mom died and
the light was extinguished in the house?
