My Face Poem by Anonymous British

My Face

My face isn't pretty,
Nor is it quite plain —
I suppose it's an ordin'ry
Face in the main.

My mum says, 'If even
You had your hair curled,
You wouldn't exactly
Be a Miss World,

But cheer up, my lovely,
Don't look glum all the while —
You'd look so much nicer
If only you'd smile!'
