My Fate

Her blue eyes beckoned
My fate sealed with a glance
Surrendered my soul willingly
My heart stood not a chance
A lifetime of love
I promised her heart
This lifetime promise I will keep
Be we together or apart
She never lied or deceived me
It is I burdened with blame
Though I hurt her heart deeply, she honors me
Each time she signs her last name
