My Father Poem by Julietta Isla

My Father

I waisted my love for this man, my father, i ran back to him, thinking he would change one bit, what did i do so wrong, for you to hurt me, why do you drink, is it because of me, did i ruin your life trying to grow up, well now is the time, be a man, and not a little boy, yeah keep screaming at me, lay those hands on me, for absolutely no reason, i have the bruises to prove your abusive, i love you daddy, but why can't you love me, what's so wrong with me, you act like im some kind of disease, everytime you drink, is when hell arises, you talk about how much you hate me, please stop it, your crushing my feelings, i get down on my knees, and beg for you to love me, you push me further away, now im on the edge of the world, one more time you lay your hands is when i fight back, i fight for my life, he cuts me, i fall and bleed, oh daddy please love me.....
