A father is someone you run to
A loving person that will hold you like glue
A father is someone that will care
And he is always has wisdom to share
A father is a person that will encourage
Someone that will give you courage
He should kiss a knee if you scrape it
Even if it is just a little slit
He should be there to guide you
Someone that will stick with you all the way through
A father should me there for you
I love my father with all my heart
Someone that I’ve loved at the start
But I’m afraid of my father
Some people ask why I even bother
I try to reach to him and bring him back
But that is when he will attack
So I go alone ready to cry
Too afraid of this one lone guy
I sit alone because of what he did
And everyone knows what he did to his kid
I ‘m alone and dream of a day
That life itself won’t be so gray
I think of what he did to me
But then I realize that I’m finally free
