My First Hug Poem by Vernazera Lumba

My First Hug

Rating: 5.0

I see you across the gym playing basketball with your friends
I suddenly feel nervous as you start walking towards me
I stop, open my arms for an awkward hug
But boy, I liked it.

The sweet smell of axe, of you, made me melt
The longer I wanted to stay in your arms
We let go, one arm behind the other’s back
I really liked you.
