He was there all along
When I needed someone
Even when I thought I was all by myself
He stood by and watched me with His loving eyes
Through the storms of my life He was with me
He never really left me even when I gave Him every reason to
He never hurt me as I did Him
He told me He loved me and proved it to me in so many ways only I was too busy to notice
I sought after and chased things that were not valuable and forgot all about my love
Yet He was there, still true to His love
All that I chased deserted me and I came running back with tears in my eyes to my love
He accepted me with a warm embrace and reminded me of His love for me
When I had nothing left but Him,
He proved to be more than enough for me
My first love will forever remain my love, He is simply the best.
