My First Lover Poem by Emmanuel Adachie

My First Lover

The blazing flame without a source or trigger.

Defines a massive wave right through her.

With pains carved in scars, yet filled with dreams.

As the curse blooms its flowers and teems.

It kicked to inflict pain, yet she smiled and giggled.

'My big boy is growing' she says untroubled.

As time bloomed 'push and pull' became her norm.

She screamed, yelled and cried, till I took form.

From warm darkness I felt the very cold light.

I yelled for her, and she smiled as she won the fight.

Placed in her arm there I was vulnerable and afraid.

There she froze in tears as her emotions pervade.

I grew in her arms and her bosom became my new bed.

As she stared in my eyes she gave me a name unsaid.

She was the first woman to be attached and attracted.

Like two bones fused together well articulated.

Even when I nibbled her with my little ivory dagger.

She yelled in pain and laughed because that her desire.

To see her son grow in health as he newly discovers.

What he cannot do without his now discovered first lover.
