The first time I saw you
I was terrified
I did not want love
I did not long for lust
I wanted you to go
and thats all I wanted
just that much

You took my hand
and lead me away
to a place of yesterday

You told me you loved me
I dont know why
I didnt believe it then
and to this day
I know it wasnt alright

You kissed my shoulder
and hugged me close
this stranger
was way too close

You told me you loved me
I knew it was a lie
I wanted to scream
I couldnt even try

The first time I saw you
I wanted to die

I havent seen you since
and we both know why
its because
I wanted so badly to die
