My Forever Enduring Refuge Poem by James Darwin Smith II

My Forever Enduring Refuge

May those enduring years
Find a home within my heart
Creating a refuge of solace
As the agony of the past dies
And your future becomes beautiful
As that soul of yours
Has always been a haven
Of tranquil delight

Let yourself go
All is safe from here on out

Let me fight it all

Every burden
That has ever
Put everything in disarray

Trust me, I will fight
All the pain
Even if it must be
With me

I just want your spirit
To feel safe
So I can finally set it free

You are so beautiful
In every which way
All that is ugly
Will soon
Go away

I can seize it
All and forever more

Fight it
so it never escapes
Again

All for you
My admiration
My all
My sacred evermore

You seem so far
Yet, so close to home

I just want you to feel safe
Without ever feeling alone

May those enduring years
Become one with me
So you relax
And set your
Heart, mind and soul free

I may not be much
Yet, there is so much
Of this unknown within
Never have any fear
I will always lose
As long as you always win

Only you
Are worthy
Of all better days ahead

I will someday fight all the pain away
And then we will see the world
In the same, yet different ways

There is warmth within you

The cold it has tried so hard
To throw it all away

But you keep fighting
All in the name of love
And every glorious form
It represents

May all these future years
Be beautiful to you
Help me sacrifice
All the bad onto myself
So I can put it all
Into the void
It once escaped from

Trust me
That is all you ever have to do
I just want you to feel the light
That has always resided in you

Your true form
Is vast utopia
Of golden wealth

An unlimited amount of beauty
An endless view

And no matter where
We both will be
Know this

I will always love you

Trust me
I have always put my trust in you

You are my personal above
I will always love you

Will I forever walk alone?
So be it, if that reigns true

Just know
I will always love you

My Forever enduring refuge, you
