My Forever Friend Poem by Trudy Moore

My Forever Friend

Rating: 3.5

Thank you for your loving smile
and gentle, loving ways.
I'll keep those thoughts close to my heart
with every coming day.

Thank you for your open heart
and always teaching me
that it's easy to reach people, and,
to make a friend, or three.

Thank you for your spunky side,
it often made me smile.
It taught me that a little tough
can get past any mile.

Thank you for sharing time
with family and friends.
You've never been too busy to
lend an ear or hand.

Thank you for the memories,
on those I will depend;
when my heart misses you the most,
until we meet again.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This story is dedicated to my Grandmother Millie. She was my 911, my safety and the best friend I needed when I needed her. She passed away a little over two months ago at the age of 94. Even when she was ready to move on, she worried about everyone else. She was loved beyond measure and I will carry her in my heart and soul forever.

This is very touching. I lost my grandmother about a year ago, and I have written many poems about her. Message me?
