My Friend Poem by Jacob macharia

My Friend

Rating: 4.0

My friend:
I like the way you sharply storm into my timeline and scoldly wake me up;
The way you intently listen to my crazy justifications waiting for my mouth to shut and tell me you knew and still knows the truth;
The much that you terribly deny and sacrifice to keep me apt, just coz you are my friend;
The draught outrageous me that keeps on obscuring your path but you ain't swift to let go;
The embarrassment that you now and then face due to my wicked moves but always keeping up with me;
The many a times that I dismissed your efforts and roles in me but little did you dare to give up;
The irrefutable down pull that saw you tremble worthilessly but you always held on to the unfathomable and untold future.
I won't call you a crutch, coz where you verge in is really unpredictable;
I won't call for a toast, coz you already gave me reasons enough to anticipate more;
I won't else promise to start doing good or being supportive, coz you've already proven my strengths and weaknesses;
But through this weary and less appreciated road, every step will always count whether for or against.
