My Friends Poem by Brianna Wilshusen

My Friends

Love is peace,
Love is divine.
But you see to me,
It's utter displeasure.
I love to hate
yet hate to love.
I'm a freak you say?
I call it normal.
People hurt me,
People don't care.
Humans I know,
Hurt me inside.
I care not for them,
but for my animals.
My animals listen,
They don't find me bored.
They understand me,
I understand them.
They can't hurt me,
The way humans do.
They won't leave me,
They'll always agree.
They won't betray me,
They won't lie.
Animals don't judge me,
For they way I look.
They love me for who I am,
They don't tell me to change.
They won't force me to do thing,
Nor will they flee at dirst sight.
I trust them,
and them alone.
I am nothing without,
My critters at my side.
