My Galveston Poem by bobby beddoe

My Galveston

MY Galveston
Well, she's down there by the sea,
Near the sand dunes waiting for me.
I think of her with each and every breath,
Just have to see her before either's death;
Because, I fear she might get swept away,
By the some big storm as its prey.
She was from inception built from Above,
Created there for me - a span of true love,
Soothing my teary pain - without question.
Yeah, that's right - she's my Galveston!
