My Gift From God (Sonnet #158) Poem by Tina Baaklini

My Gift From God (Sonnet #158)

Your love awakens my senses and soul
As fairies awaken flowers in spring
Your love gives me wings to fly and soar
Towards heavenly skies where angels sing.

Any loss in life I can tolerate
Yet I can't stand being away from you
You're everything I own my sweet soulmate
You're the reason I laugh and dream anew.

You're my gift from God, my gift from the start
How can one heart beat in two? Now I know
Within you my heart found its missing part
Your soul dwells in me, my soul in you flows.

Between us there's tenderness, secrets, verses
And love — a divine love — our universe.
