My Girl - Poem by Ash win

There she was that girl he loved
all dressed up & looking pretty
Her eyes shining like gold
with every smile that shone brighter

She wore a white long dress
looking like a princess
on her wedding day
with the heart pendant he gifted on her neck

He stood there without moving
looking at the overwheling sight
seeing his only love
moving away from him

He will no longer see her everyday
and hear her non stop chatter
or watch her dance every night
while he sang old songs

He had so much to say to his little girl
but he walked her down the aisle
with tears welled up,
kissed her cheek and whispered
''love you always my baby girl''.
