Golden Years
In the golden years, I find my bliss,
a lifetime of memories, sealed with a kiss.
The best of best times, oh, how they shine,
these golden years, forever mine.
I've never sung, but now I'll raise my voice,
unmindful of judgment, I'll make my choice.
Melodies flow, like a river set free,
in the golden years, my soul dances with glee.
I never danced, but now I'll take the floor,
and do better than the best, twirl and soar.
My feet find rhythm, my heart skips a beat,
in the golden years, life feels oh-so sweet.
I never hiked, but I'll climb to the sky,
scale peaks like Everest, reach for the high.
Each step a victory, each summit a thrill,
in the golden years, I conquer life's hill.
I never swam, but now I dive deep,
in the middle of the Pacific, secrets to keep.
Saltwater kisses, sunsets ablaze,
in the golden years, I float through the days.
I never dated, but love's flame burns bright,
GOD as my valentine, pure and infinite light.
No earthly bounds, no fleeting desire,
in the golden years, love sets my heart on fire.
I never danced, but now I'll take the floor,
and do better than the best, twirl and soar.
My feet find rhythm, my heart skips a beat,
In the golden years, life feels oh-so sweet.
