My Gospel Poem by Sandra Chioma Nkamigbo

My Gospel

Is it that I was scared
Is it that I was feared
Did I still have a heart
Or it already became a piece of art
Could I still merry
Or my joys I had to bury
All they could see was the girl who was fearless
Nobody saw my grieving soul nevertheless
You came, you waited
Perhaps you knew we were fated
My sun has returned, my moon has appeared
My crazy emotions you've really neared
All my pains I no more mumble
Because you have become my own Gospel
