Holding you here in my arms;
knowing I failed keeping you from harm.
Your body is lifeless and broken;
I remember still you last words spoken.
My tears fall down upon you face;
my heart is broken, and slows its pace.
A nightmare so hauntingly real;
I'm numb, and this pain I feel.
the world now seems dark and void;
my eyes are sightless yet I see everything.
unable to comprehend or understand;
your skin is soft and cool to the touch of my hand.
you've left me but I refuse to let go of you;
I hear you whisper from heaven, 'I love you too.
But you must continue and be strong for us;
keep painting with lifes brush.'
i cannot yet though, so I kiss you once;
i lay your body to rest, and lay next to you.
The pain is unreal and my heart stops;
it was too much to take and my spirit ascends.
I'm now with you forever and ever;
it seems death coud not sepperate us for long.
