My Heart's Grace (Sonnet #291) Poem by Tina Baaklini

My Heart's Grace (Sonnet #291)

My Heart's Grace
(Sonnet #291)

Awakening is a bliss, yet comes with a price,
Regret's whisper: wish I knew that before;
Precious is time, not worth the sacrifice,
Except for what aligns with our inner call.

We must be kind to past versions of ourselves,
Each failure is a rung where strength abides,
Life shows no mercy if the wit sleeps on the shelf,
The wit is wise; the heart—a clumsy guide.

True love is the oasis in the desert
Of life; it's a whisper from God that life goes on,
Love is the tender shoulder that never gets tired,
It's a real twin soul whose heart feels home.

Because of you I unveiled the path of my fate,
You're my heart's grace in life's embrace, O my sweet soulmate! ❤
