My Hero Poem by Isaac Casiano

My Hero

So many untold stories
So many stories to not be told
You were a friend to others
But a hero to me
Vietnam was the beginning of the end
It started the disease
That took you away
You lived many days of joy
But most you have forgotten
We shared many years together
But it was never enough for me
You don't remember who I am
But you're still my hero
