My House Poem by K R

My House

Rating: 5.0

My life is a house
Not built out of stone
But but built out of tears
From crying alone
It's walls aren't strong
their made out of paper
Sheets of hope
Spread thin as it's tapered
Cause when it's world hurts
It falls like sand
The walls will crack
And the lights
Will go black
The floors are weak
It's Like walking on thread
But the threads are made
By the ones pronounced dead
The windows are shattered
Glass on the floor
They keep throwing boulders
And there's always more
The boulders are labeled
The words cause the break
You're stupid you're ugly
Disappointing annoying
They ruin each window
And then the heart breaks
The ceiling is falling
Like hail from the sky
And as it falls
You hear the slight cry
Crying for peace
Crying for love
And hoping that god
Is really above
And last but not least.
Most stable of all
There is the door
Strong and tall
No words can break it
It doesn't show pain
It's built out of steel
To protect it the same
This door has trauma
Heavy and deep
But momma always said
Dont show when ur weak
They can't see you mad
You must always be glad
For they can not see
Why The house is so weak
Your issues must hide
Way deep down inside
The list is never ending
And they don't know why
Yes my house is broken
It's beaten it's hurt
It's lost and not found
And not much works
It's been left
Been forgotten
Been used and abused
Been held to high standards
And always accused
It's lost it's mother
And most of its father
It's trust has been broken
Everything gets harder
But still in the end.
It is a lover forever
And also a fighter
It's world a bit brighter
Even with tears
with cracks In the walls
The widows that shattered
And the ceiling that falls
The door will stand tall
And strong and beautiful
Independent and wise
With love and pride
And a fire Inside
One day the fire
Will grow and tame
light up the house
To rebuild it
But Never the same
as the way it came
But With hope and peace
And love for others
Stability and strength
Just the way it was made
Thank it's creator
