My Husband, My Sons Poem by Penny Johnson

My Husband, My Sons

Willie
We are what we constantly do
You always do what you say you'll do
That's exactly why that I love you
Buddy
What did you say? It made my heart
swell
You said "Anything worth doing is
worth doing well."
Do I have a son? Yes! A wonderful
one
Robbie
Since first I bounced you on my knee
I knew exactly what you'd be
Anything and everything the world
Allowed
You were born to make me proud
