My Landing Poem by Edward W. Cousins

My Landing

I crashed into the wind and
so i set sail once again...

Lean up against me with all your body and skin.
Under a shade tree by a buncombe county river
slightly summer day. the huge green towers
of life stared down at me envious as can be.
And i smile back
and say do you not wish you were me?
I could write your poem here with the
motioning of cold water breaking the rocks.
Like the way your heart beat hits my chest.
But these memories I will keep as just that, memories.
So when I am bored and lonely i can have
you here on paper and pen when the words come to me.

As if it was not your eyes? ...
And you grin a modest grin.
But your midnight lips say otherwise.
and my spine chills with the dark night.
And i just would not move, i could not move.
I was afraid you would be saying goodbye.
If i could just see you there standing in faded blues jeans
tank top and cowboy hat and bare feet.
You would make my life complete.
Oh you make me crazy. brown eyes,
sunlight and my daydreams.
So you come a little closer.

But how the night ends to soon...
But yeah that is just fine.
Because I will have your morning eyes.
