My Last Breath Of You - Poem by Raymond Valadez

like a memorie that has no remedy
like a incomplete kiss
and eyes that fight to shine
that is how our love was
exactly like beauty that refused to die

like lives that stopped at the glimpse of our eyes
and new dreams that faded away with a shed of a tear
simple words that only filtered raw emotions that night
exactly like beauty that refused to die

turning my back on eternal love with my heart in my hand
with each step adding eternity between us instead
with no real goodbyes
exactly like beauty that refused to die
