My Last Dance Poem by osharakpo onye

My Last Dance

Rating: 5.0

Like clubs striking upon drums,
My heart beat thuds
To the rhythm of drum and dance.
The party is now over.
My steps are slowing down
To silence. loud silence.
The tempo slows down,
White coats turn grey
As windows of my soul close in.
Darkness has walked in quietly
Like a thief in the night.
The dance ends.
The beat stops,
Only echoes are heard....
This too stops.
Silence again.
My dance has ended.
