My Life And It Twists - Poem by colin kahi
I am in desperation.
Wishing, hoping, wanting for my emptiness to erase.
My heart is filled with rips and sears and the stitches are falling apart.
I am stranded and can’t fly because I am like a butterfly with half wings.
I am laying on the floor my wrist slit.
Surrounded by this ocean of blood is causing me to ponder.
Is this how it ends is this all I’m bid for.
Feeling my body heat whither away from me slowly I feel like I’m into acceptance in another place.
I am seeing the brightest light I’ve ever seen.
Its beckoning for me to come near it.
I’m feeling life as I crawl toward it.
I live. My wrist are healed.
I am thankful for my life for every new day.
I’m thankful for wings to make it right so I can fly away in the sky.
Now I am complete.
I am living my life like its golden.
