You two held a light that shone to me
I slipped through to you from above the sea
You two told me to grow and bend like a dancing tree
I held my ground until the earth shook with a hollow sound
I lost my confidence and crawled underground
When I asked for help with a lump in my throat
And a tear upon my hand-You two quickly pulled
Me up out of the quicksand
I thank my mother and father
To be one of their three daughters
Without them I would not be free
I love the life I lead
But My insanity is a part of me
these scars, they will not recede
My wounds are not open and I will not bleed
I reach up and ask forgiveness from the hand above the sea
I am lifted up and I am told
“That light may not have been meant for you
But the forgiveness I shall do. Give your mother and
Father a message for me, tell them they raised
A lovely dancing tree.”

And that you are.. a beautiful dancing tree! You have overcome so much from what you have shared with me! This is beautifully written and shows your strength in spite of weakness!
