My Little One Ada Poem by Charlene Moralesbalintona

My Little One Ada

When I noticed two distinct red lines, I was overjoyed.
I'm dying from both excitement and anxiety.
There was a mix of happiness and fear.
backache, nausea from morning sickness
Bed rest has rendered me extremely frail.
But when you landed in my arms, those pains vanished.
I'm tightly clutching you and have fallen madly in love with you.
While holding back my tears, I kissed you on the cheek.
Because I'm not going to let my tears fall on your chubby cheeks.
But deep down, I am overjoyed and grateful to HIM.
For giving me such a lovely and adorable daughter
