She Dreamed My Dream Poem by Charlene Moralesbalintona

She Dreamed My Dream

Rating: 5.0

I watched you in your hardest time
That pretending that you are fine
Hiding your deep sigh and tears
I know you're tired.

You smiled with me When I shared with you my dreams
Because I know you dreamed my dream
Your sacrifices inspired me
And motivates me to succeed

Forgive me those time,
I misunderstood you
Trying to find my ways
That ended in hurting you most

But seeing you again
In pretentious happy face,
I know, deep inside your hurting and tired
That makes me tears in silence.

Before, I was wondering
Why this woman work hard for me
Why she dreamed my dream anyway
And end with a long mystery for me

I follow your thoughts
I follow your dreams
I follow your dances
I follow your songs

Until the day come
I wore the academic gown
At last, I see you smile happily
A real smile beautifully.

And then you whispered to me
I prepared a perfect ladder for you
Climb this ladder with care and confidence
It will lead you to your happiness and success.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This Poem I dedicated to a small and brown woman, maybe she looks small but terrible. But she molded me to be a better person. Whatever, I have now. That's because of her dream, a dream for me. This woman deserves a treat, never-ending love and I will be thankful to her for the rest of my life. This beautiful woman from inside and outside is MS. TESSIE ACEBES-MORALES, my small but terrible mother. I am proud that she is my mother.
