My Little Sister Poem by Natalie Frey

My Little Sister

She's younger, she's shorter,
But she has never let it stop her.
She has the determination,
And the energy of that little, blue train,
In the picture book we shared as kids,
She' always been my best friend,
With admirable, girly poise,
A free spirit, courage, and strength.
But when she loses focus, feels lost,
I see her look at me,
Following my lead,
And my smile spreads in secret.
