My Lost Love Poem by Jennifer Wassou

My Lost Love

In the depths of my despair, I think about you
And a smile curves upon my lips Making my heart to skip a little Then once again I feel the warmth of your arms

But all of that soon leaves my mind
Cause that overwhelming pain comes back once more
Reminding me that I failed to protect what we had
And now I'm paying the price for it

I was supposed to be the person that loved you the most
But I'm the person that hurt you more than anyone else
Now that guilt i feel never departs from me
No matter how hard I try to convince myself

How I wish you were here close to me
So I could tell you how much I love you
How much your presence changed me
And made me a better person

But now all of that is behind me
Cause I hurt your feelings
And our story ended
Leaving me with thousands of doubts
