My Love - Poem by Marguerite Treon

O'er thirty years ago
you came into my life,
I remember as if it were
yesterday. My beautiful one, I will love
you forever, you said
I laughed for I thought
you jest. I thank you for the years
Your love has held me
thru sad times
thru heartaches.
thru happy times. MY LOVE I love you with my heart
and with my soul;
for no truer love
will ever be. My love, your beautiful smile
when you look at me.
the sparkle in your eyes
when you say I love you
You are my life. My love, you are my life
my very being; without thee
I am not.
