My Lover's Sujourn Poem by Gabriel Kwadzo Norvieto

My Lover's Sujourn

Can I recover from this trauma
In this hot summer?
What a sudden departure
With galore packet of rapture?
My soul will lack your bliss
And my lips, your kiss they'll miss

Your beautiful love is enraptured
I, the sweet reminiscences tortured
Take along with me your love
So your soul never starve
Oh! Man of nature
Why sanction this departure?

I recall your last comment
And my night it torment
Thinking of your sweet smiles
Wonder if someone have the likes
Our distance may be far
But we stay at each other's side

Like we always sat together
So we'll never part forever
Looking deep into the past
Our love is meant to last
Loving you is the best thing
That ever happen to me within

People always thought us silly
When often we play and jolly
Our love knows no distance
So on i love you stance,
I wish you my sincere luck
Till you go and come back

As you reach your new place
Remember not to turn your face
Let's still be whom we were
Maintaining our love and care
My love, on this stage,
I bid you bon voyage

Till you go and come
I promise not to take some
Just be gay each day
'Cause our day is the way
Where we shall hold hand and ring
And jubilation songs we shall sing
