My Man Poem by Rownel Allen

My Man

I hereby declare, not all men are dogs!
Meet my man, envy me, i'm so proud
One in a million, I must say
A very rare species of today

It was just a wish of yesteryears
To have a man as good as he is
Damn he is real, so loving, so true
Just perfect for me, might be for you too

Sorry but I can't lend him to you
Yes, Im boastful, he's my midnight blue
I found a gem, a treasure to hold
He is so nice, pure heart of gold

Let me be happy for just a short span
For he can only be mine for a limited time
I have to admit we just met by chance
My man is just my lover, hush keep quiet.
