My Meadow Poem by Sian Jones

My Meadow

Rating: 4.5

The tumbling of the clouds
against the jet blue sky.
The whirling of the wind
blows the grass blades by.

Buttercups blossoming, beautifully shining,
like the golden rays gleaming, from the sun that is rising.

The vast lush green glows,
on the ground beneath me.
The smell comforts my body,
like my mothers arms, wrapped around me.

Birds fly by, churping happily, tweeting merrily.
I skip through the meadow joyfully, gleefully.

Time has past me quickly,
The sun is fiery red,
I must dash home, though i am sad to go,
it is surely time for bed.
