My Moment Poem by Brianna Wilshusen

My Moment

The sky shivers in dispare,
But this sight I see quite rare.
The full moon glows with delight,
As I strip off my dress.
The red silk falls in a puddle,
Of the bright yet pale moonlight glow.
I walk up to the magick stone,
And place my palms facedown to chill.
I close my eyes so slowly,
To inhale the fresh night air.
I slow my breathing,
As I sit on stone.
I light a long white candle,
For purity and cleansing.
The stars twinkle brightly,
The moon smiles upon me.
My naked body,
Absorbing the light.
The moon rains tender kisses,
Down upon my bare bright flesh.
I drink it all in,
I enjoy the time.
This moment is mine alone,
No one can steal this from me.
Before I realize it,
The sun is in my hair.
I feel its warmth spreading,
Through my body so clear.
I gather my red silk,
And exit my haven.
This moment was mine alone,
No one can steal it away.
