My Moods Poem by Vanessa Dizon Alvarez

My Moods

I dwell between the dusk and flame,
No single mask, no single name.
A whisper in the crowded hall,
A shadow where no voices call.

I crave the hush of candlelight
Yet dance beneath the moon's delight.
My soul is stitched with threads unseen—
Half tempest wild, half calm serene.

The world may ask, "What soul is this? "
A ghost of joy, a shade of bliss?
But I am both the storm and shore,
The silent book, the tavern's roar.

I read the room, I feel the air,
I shift my shape with quiet care.
Sometimes I sing, sometimes I sigh,
Sometimes I vanish, passing by.

So let them wonder, let them stare—
I am the night's unspoken prayer.
Not bound to one, nor chained to form,
I am the chill before the storm.
