My Mother Poem by Sindhura Duggirala

My Mother

If I were a boat
You would be a might captain
And you would stere me out of trouble.

If I were a newly sprouted rose
You would be the gardener and
You would take care of me

If I were a time traveling dinosaur who got stuck in modern london
You would be the person who teaches every one I am no harm

If I were a song.
You would be the singer
And you would sing me with grace

If I were a toronto that did not want to destroy anything.
You would be the goddess
And grant my wish

If I were a broken tea cup
You would be the clay
And you would fix me with pleasure

If I were buzz lightyear
You would be my spaceship
And you would protect me from danger

I am your son and you are my mom and I love you more than anything.

My Valentine's Day gift from my son who is 10 years old, Sthavir Suri.

This is the first poem written for me from one of the most special person in my life …my first born.
