My Mother To The Motherless Poem by Cati Walthall

My Mother To The Motherless

My eyes are red
My tears are blue
My thank you's aren't enough
To pay you for everything you do
You have said 'You can'
When I've said 'I can't'
You've told me to keep going
When life was to hard to stand
You have been my respect
When I've had none
You've been there for me since day one.
You've been the hug I need
When I'm having a really rough day
You've been the shoulder I wanted
To cry my pain away.
You've spoken to me with calmness
Even when I'm obnoxious
Thank you for being my mommy
Specially when I feel really motherless. <3
