My Name Is Poem by Jamie Loughlin

My Name Is

Rating: 5.0

My name is Child of Christ
Lover of God
Surrenderer of My Nature
And Holder of Life

My name is Daughter (of a dad)
who loves me very much
And hurts when I'm sad
Though to tell him when I hurt
Makes me feel just as bad.

My name is Sister (of a brother)
who wants to make sure
I know he's better
but also would never let
anyone else even
Think about not treating
me correctly.

My name is Lifelong Student
There's always more to learn
About who I am
And what things are
And what makes the world turn.

I am a lot of things
All mixed and matched but
Somehow fitting
I am all of these things
And somehow
A Separate Identity.
