The time passed and you turned away,
Changed your feelings and you went astray.

I wish somehow I could stop you and change your mind,
But I see it clearly now, it only needed time.

It was like I was slowly loosing you from my grip,
And suddenly I look down and POOF! I let you slip.

How could I let something so special leave me,
How could I let my surroundings deceive me?

I thought you were not giving me everything you could,
But I realize now I was quite misunderstood

I never meant to make you feel unappreciated,
But there were reasons behind all the things stated.

I remember back some time ago,
You claimed you had love for me and that it would never go.

The feelings you gave me, you were like my ecstasy.
Like a cancer, your love spread throughout my body, like you infected me.
There’s not a piece of me left that does not love you.
Like I told before, I place nothing above you.

My love for you it grew and grew,
I could never picture a day living without you.

Just knowing you were there for me,
Knowing that you care for me,
That was all I needed, it was like air for me.

Was it something I did that made your love leave?
Or did someone else catch your eye?
I do not know what to believe.

I guess it’s just life pulling us apart,
Know that forever you will have a piece of my heart.

I thought our love would never end,
For now, you will always be my most special friend.

I could never imagine that our chain would break,
Never again baby, never will my heart take…
You are my one and only true love…
