I can look deep in your eyes and tell you straight I loved you
I can hold your hand without fear because my feelings were pure
I could hug you in my arms knowing the love I felt was real

Now you want to say the words I waited for in years
The regret in your eyes is not hidden for once
The incoming messages that you care and you miss me

I could text back but it doesn't mean I care
I could check on you but doesn't mean I want you back
I learnt the hard way when you walked out during my desperate moment

I wished you well even when it hurt
Now the pain is gone and am happier
I know it has taken a while but am content

Everyone asks me to take you back
Am not ready to be double crossed again
