It must have been moon-glow intoxication that entered
my soul one lonely night, a night when I thought
all was lost in heaven and earth, when I could
no longer stand my loveless existence.
The charcoal sky opened in a burst of golden rays and
colours clambering to embrace this lonely poetess
whose pen had dried like the shell of a fallen
star, exposed to elements of a changeable cosmos.
You, my saviour of the night, keeper of my dreams,
rescuer of this woman locked in a castle, high on
the rugged cliffs of loneliness, overlooking
an angry sea, ready to drown all hopes.
So come my Pegasus, ride across the infinite heavens
home of uncountable stars, with your golden bridle
of love to the precious place in my heart held for you only ~
